Proud of my beginnings in Iowa, Iíve been choreographing since the 7th gradeÖ bossing the girls around (boys donít dance) before putting myself in their numbers for the Spring Show. Next it was off the high school to sharpen the pon pon squad and create the drag version for the Sadie Hawkins Ceremonies; 14 football players in drag dancing to the Sugar Hill Gang - Revolutionary!

After one year, I left the University of Iowa Theater/Dance Program to study with Gus Giordanoísí Jazz Dance Chicago in 1983. I went to PCPA Theaterfest in Santa Maria, California, enrolling in their two year intensive training program - awesome experience. After being offered resident choreographer/acting company member, I decided to return to Chicago to study at the Theater School at De Paul University (Goodman School of Drama).

In 1989, I began my "God, when am I going to be good enough to get to New York?" stage. After performing in Europe in West Side Story and in over 40 musicals regionally, I made it to the Big Apple, gratefully getting work in Miss Saigon, Beauty and the Beast, An Evening at Carnegie Hall with Betty Buckley as well as the World Premiere of A Christmas Carol at Madison Square Gardens - "Thank you, Susan Stroman."

After a successful run on Broadway, I moved to Los Angeles and began working in television and (one) film. After a recurring role and a handful of "co-starring," I began choreographing, teaching dance and movement on the Adjunct Faculty at Cypress College in Theater and Dance for a few years. I also directed/co-produced Doing Judy at the Matrix Theater in LA in 2001. Choreographic credits including The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin, Sweet Charity, Bat Boy, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Grease, Annie Get Your Gun, Summerland, Little Caesars Pizza (Telly Award winner).

Today, I choreograph for commercials and television; teach movement for actors, on faculty of US Performing Arts during the summer months at UCLA, UC Berkeley, and Florida State University. I am on the steering committee for Christopher Street West. I am also continuing my commitment to Aid For AIDS with Best in Drag Show, now in its 8th year.
